Ryan Raburn wouldn’t have been too upset if last weekend was delayed a few days and the week extended a few more.
Raburn caught fire at the end of last week, belting a home run in Detroit’s Thursday finale of a homestand with Seattle, then knocking two more out Friday in the opener at Oakland.
In two days, Raburn’s season total for home runs grew from seven to 10, with the rest of his averages rising also.

What does Brett Favre have to do with Gators in the Pros? A lot, when you think of a young receiver’s introductory passes in the league coming from Favre’s arm instead of Tavaris Jackson’s back foot.
I tried to ask Percy Harvin about the possible addition of Favre when Harvin attended Friday Night Lights last month, but since the draft, he’s been as easy to get hold of as a he is for defenders on the field.

You know it’s football season when you see the most random jerseys in the oddest of places.
OK, so it’s technically not football season yet, but its getting close. I was in Tampa last weekend with my daughter at a Rays game. While there, I saw someone in the stands wearing a Kenyatta Walker Bucs jersey. I guess that guy didn’t get the memo.

Every day that David Lee goes unsigned increases the likelihood that the former Gator will remain a short-term Knick.
Lee was reportedly courted by Portland, Toronto, Memphis and Utah, but all decided to move in different directions, spending their precious cap space in other ways.
