Jeremy Mincey grew up rooting for the Cowboys.

Next season, he will be playing for them.

Dallas signed the former Gator defensive end to a two-year contract Wednesday worth $4.5 million with $2 million guaranteed, according to the National Football Post.

The 30-year-old spent six NFL seasons in Jacksonville but was released late last year. He landed with the AFC champion Denver Broncos in December and appeared in their last five games, including Super Bowl XLVIII.

Mincey started 40 straight games for the Jaguars from 2010-2012 and recorded a total of 15 sacks, eight of which came in 2011.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pounder was selected in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.

He later made the team roster for the San Francisco 49ers but did not play during his rookie year before joining the Jags.
